No. 16 Sandburg Wins Behind Forestal’s 4 Goals, Camille’s Hat Trick

GALESBURG — Jean Forestal (Ocoee, Fla./Ocoee) and Guylberson Camille (Key West, Fla./Key West) combined to score all seven goals for the 16th-ranked Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team in a 7-3 Region IV victory over Kankakee on Tuesday afternoon at Kleine Field.

Forestal scored four goals for the unbeaten Chargers (4-0 overall, 2-0 Region IV), who moved up two spots in this week’s NJCAA rankings that were released Tuesday. Camille added a hat trick and an assist for Sandburg while taking over the top spot for most goals (eight) and points (17) in the country. Camille has scored in each of Sandburg’s four games and has three multi-goal efforts.

The Chargers scored early and often against the Cavaliers (1-4, 1-4), getting two goals from Forestal in the first 11 minutes and Camille’s first of the game in the 18th minute.

Forestal completed the hat trick with a goal from Oliver Hawkins (Paddock Wood, England/Mascalls Academy) in the 33rd minute, and Camille’s second of the game in the 35th minute from Roldy Geneus (Orlando, Fla./Evans) staked Sandburg to a 5-1 halftime lead.

Forestal connected for his fourth of the match in the 49th minute, and Camille earned his hat trick 2 minutes later for a 7-2 Sandburg advantage. The Chargers finished with 19 shots on goal.

Benjamin Hilton (West Sussex, England/Crawley Town Academy) and Kale Stevenson (Cowdenbeath, Scotland/Cowdenbeath) split time in net in the victory.
